Adding saved service to smart file

I created and saved a service. Now I’m trying to add it to my smart file, which i thought was an option. But it’s not showing in it in the list of options. It’s only showing other smart files. Maybe I’m sleepy, but I thought you could add a saved service to a smart file. Or do you have to build it from scratch inside of a smart file?? I am so confused
