Corporate clients have large teams. It would be nice if the person who receives the invoice can share the payment page. There is a work around for this but why not let “anyone” pay the bill. I don’t see why a random person paying the bill is bad. If they pay it they pay it right? No need to create barriers between getting paid or not.

ALSO CHECKS! We deal with a TON of checks and hate that you force us to have a payment page. Many corporate clients want to pay via other forms. The client and I have that conversation. Then I send them an invoice and they are like… Why does it still have a cc/bank payment page and it makes the clients confused. Please stop forcing me to confuse my clients. We all know its just a money grab :(

Yes Stickler!  These are honestly the main reasons I can't fully utilize Honeybook, and why I still have to bill MANY of my clients via QuickBooks. I’ve almost completely stopped using Honeybook because it’s confusing to have 2 separate billing systems. Still, I hang around hoping updates will be made so I can come back!

Many of my clients are corporate, which brings a couple of things into play -

  • Many different people need access to the invoice, but not to the project (ANYONE should be able to view, not only those related to the job!)
  • They most often pay by check (Why have a separate payment page? Should be able to pay directly from the invoice like all other platforms/apps)
  • Their invoices go to a separate accounting area (different address, email, etc) that shouldn’t be added to a project (Perhaps add a ‘Billing’ area to the client info, then when it’s time to invoice we can have the option to send to the billing information on file (with option to cc others).

I hope your requests gain some traction!

I have these same issues. It's been very frustrating! 😞

Yes, a lot of my clients work B2B with large corporate clients, and I’ve had to be really creative to make HoneyBook work for some of their use cases. It would be extremely helpful if there were a way to give access so a prospect’s accounting team without adding them to the whole project. Kind of like a “pay-only” access link. I’m trying to figure out if this is what the new pay link feature does. It doesn’t look like it, though.

Hi @Stickler — This is still a major pain point for both my clients and me. If you haven’t already, it’d be great to submit this as a feature request so others can upvote it!

(It looks like this might be posted as a question rather than an idea, but I could be wrong. Still figuring out the best way to submit these myself 😅)

I went ahead and submitted this feature request as it’s become a pressing need for one of my clients:
