Would you suggest using HB for email subscribers to keep everything in one place for announcements and promotions via a lead link / contact form and what would this look like in the pipeline. If there is a limit on batching emails is this viable? Should I stick with WIX to collect this information?

I feel like this could work! If I did this, I would

  • create a Pipeline Stage called “Subscribers”
  • create a lead form to collect the information
  • connect the lead form to an automation that immediately sends the “inquiries” to the “Subscribers” pipeline stage
  • Add a welcome/nurture sequence of emails to that same automation [to introduce yourself and your brand when people subscribe]

Then whenever you want to send an email to your list, you can go to the “Subscribers” pipeline stage and select them, create a batch email, and send it out.

There are a few cons to this system and why I might stick with Wix for the time being:

If you have a lot of subscribers, there is a limit: You will be able to send batch emails to up to 200 total recipients per 24-hour period.

The email editor is VERY limited.

It might be annoying to have to move clients through the pipeline and skip the “Subscribers” stage every time.

I think HoneyBook would be a great option for email subscribers once they improve the email editor, increase the batch email limit (or even make it unlimited), and be able to create stages or groups that can exist outside the general pipeline.

I store subscribers in several places because, as was mentioned above, Honeybook’s batch e-mail is very limited. I would suggest using an outside service to send and track e-mails- something that is a bit more robust until HB can offer something a little better.

I wouldn’t at this time. I use another service for email marketing.

I would say use something like ActiveCampaign or ConvertKit.

If you want, you can upgrade your Wix subscription to include email marketing. I used it for a long time, but have had some issues with it recently and moved over to FloDesk. However, if you just want to send the occasional promotion, Wix will work really well. (and actually, depending on the number of subscribers you have, you might not even need to upgrade!)
