Emails does not look like it does in Honeybook

I tested an automation (with a different email via lead form on my website) which worked, but when I received the email it looked nothing like it does in Honeybook. The scheduling hyperlink were a blue paragraph of a link, the pdf guide attached also turned into a blue paragraph link, the paragraphs were weirdly spaced apart and my signature was not there. Any advice please to make it not like a massive wall of text and ugly blue paragraphs of links. Thanks

@Elwena Blom  - When emails are sent via automations in HoneyBook, the formatting doesn’t always come through the way it looks when composing in the platform. Things like hyperlinks turning into full blue URLs, weird paragraph spacing, and missing email signatures can definitely make things feel a little off.

A few things you can try:

📝 Format your email in a Google Doc first, then copy and paste it into your email template in HoneyBook. This often preserves cleaner line breaks and spacing compared to typing directly into the HoneyBook editor.

💡 Use an email template instead of a plain text block in your automation. Go to Templates > Email Templates, create a new one with your desired formatting, and then select that template when building your automation. This also helps retain things like your signature and styled links.

📎 Attach files instead of linking them. Rather than pasting a link to your PDF, try uploading the guide directly as an attachment so it appears more polished to your client.

👀 Always preview before sending. Click the eye icon to see how the email will appear once it’s sent—this gives you a chance to catch anything that looks off.

It’s not a perfect system (yet!), but hopefully these tweaks help improve the look and feel of your automated emails. If it still doesn’t look right after trying these steps, definitely consider submitting a feature request or reaching out to HoneyBook support with screenshots, they’re always gathering feedback on Smart File and email improvements!

OK thank you for those suggestions, I will try that. The attachment was an upload but I’ll double check that. I had a friend test the form and the automation looked correct on their email. Maybe it is a yahoo issue which is my test email?

@Elwena Blom - Yes, it very well could be an issue with Yahoo specifically. I would try to test it elsewhere and see if you notice a difference. You may also want to report this to the support section in the app (?) and let them know so the developers are aware that it could be a Yahoo mail issue.
