I’m a HB user from (almost) day 1. That being said, I still mostly use Legacy Proposals to send to clients. Anyone else strongly prefer legacy proposals to the new(er) Smart Files, and if so, what’s holding you back? Or if you did convert to the newer files, how was it received by your clients?

(FYI, I am currently working on brochures and smart files for a few popular services I offer) 🤓

Hey Brad! My clients love the smart files. There’s a lot more customization available within the smart files and it allowed me to streamline our processes for onboarding new clients. I found them much easier for clients than brochures since you can do so many more steps in one file through a single email versus several files and emails.

I second Jenn here.

What I love is that I’ve taken away any obstacles from clients moving forward. Sure, they will just pick one of a few options, but instead of having them look at them and move on with their day, now they can click through, see pricing, even my contract and deposit, all in a few clicks. AKA, clients love it, and it’s far superior to what I was doing before sending out PDFs.

I have found the Smart files to work seamlessly. My clients love this streamlined process. It has made for a better onboarding experience for my customers. It has made administrative process easier for me.

Smart files are easy.   They seem overwhelming at first because you have so many options to customize them.

I think converting a legacy file to a smart file is a good start for anyone who doesn’t know where to begin or checking out the suggested smart file templates that may already be available.

Once you get a smart file set then have fun, customize it to what you think your client would easily work with and to allow it to convey the communication you are striving to get across.

A huge benefit i found is that I don’t type out a long winded email explaining to my couples what information i need and why i need.   I simply tell them we are working on xyz for your wedding planning, click the button below to get started.   It’s an interactive worksheet that I don’t have to go chasing after my clients for information for.   And because I’ve strategically created them the way i did, my clients read the boring stuff that would have been in the email before smart files but it’s just easier to read.

Just my $0.02!
