Hey HoneyBook friends 👋

Has anyone else noticed some odd discrepancies in this month’s reports compared to previous ones?

The report format seems to have changed, and now I’m seeing at least one payment that was recorded in January on the 31st showing up in February’s report on the 1st. Also, for any payments we marked as “Other” with a custom note, that note used to be included, and now it just says “Other” with no detail at all.

On top of that, the “Discount Amount” column is missing completely from this month’s report, which is throwing off our internal tracking. I noticed column titles were changed, but most were able to be matched up easily.

Curious if anyone else is seeing the same or if it’s just us. Would love to hear what you've found!

Thanks!

Hello??  Is anyone able to help me with this?  I tried opening a support ticket only to be told I am inputting things incorrectly, which didn’t sit well with me since we have a very particular way of doing things to make sure there are no mistakes. I need to pay my taxes, and don’t know if these reports are correct.

@JAGstudios - First off, I totally hear your frustration, and I really appreciate you laying out the details so clearly. While I don’t personally pull reports directly from HoneyBook and can’t speak to the technical specifics, I wanted to jump in here to help bump this post and get more eyes on it.

You're definitely not alone in noticing changes lately. As a HoneyBook Pro, I know that the platform is constantly evolving, and while that growth is exciting, it can sometimes mean we have to adjust our workflows or dig a little deeper to understand what’s shifted. I know it’s not ideal—especially when you're trying to reconcile reports during tax season.

Since support mentioned something might be inputted incorrectly, I’d encourage circling back with them again. I know that might feel frustrating, but sometimes a second round of clarification can provide new insight or uncover something small that makes a big difference. It might also help them escalate the issue if it’s affecting more users.

Also, I’d love to tag in @Geily Romero  here—she's got more experience navigating the financial/reporting side of HoneyBook and may have a better perspective or workaround that could help!

Again, I know this isn’t a direct answer, but I hope it helps keep the convo going and gets it in front of the right folks. 💛

Thanks, Alicia!  Super kind of you to comment and boost this post.  I was able to get in touch with some support staff who did indeed listen and identified some errors in the new reports. I uncovered even a few more as we dug deeper into the new system. We are all for growth and completely welcome it, but a bit more transparency would be helpful.  Also, having someone listen and hear that I was finding the errors from the old exports to the new ones of the same month, which meant that it wasn’t me inputting it incorrectly.  It’s been three LONG days of back and forth and spreadsheets, but they are now working on a fix for this. Thanks again for taking the time to reach out and help!

Yes, I currently have a request in HoneyBook for the same issue. Also, for some reason, the client column is populating our staff emails. So there’s no way to reconcile the payments properly with the project.

I’ve connected with the concierge team who confirms they’re working on it. However, my bookkeeping/CPA is now requesting more than double the fee because of issues with HB’s integration with QuickBooks.

As a result, we’re about to lose our bookkeeping team over these poor QuickBooks integration and declining financial reports.

UPDATE: I’ve just been advised that the CLIENT INFO (emails) column in the Payments Completed Report indicates whether the client paid directly via HB so their emails appears there or if we mark it as paid manually, our staff’s emails appear in that same column marked as CLIENT INFO. Just thought I’d update my post so people are aware. I’ll make a separate community post to hopefully request improvements.
