HB is already great. Please stop making unnecessary changes.

You seem to be in the minority. There’s not a single UX/UI study on Earth that suggests a horizontal menu is easier to visually navigate and scan than a vertical one.

How many bulleted lists, restaurant menus, or sorting selections do you ever see on the horizontal?

It’s 100% and objectively better approach for ease-of-use and eye-scanning.

@DJSTIRFRY - I also hate it, but I get that UX says left navigation is easier and they won’t go back to the old setup.

I’m submitting an idea to have an option to permanently expand it for those of us who like the constant access to navigation without waiting for the hover and who struggle with it popping up when not wanted. Which is probably why you also don’t like it.

I hope you’ll upvote my idea as it sounds like it would help you. :)

@DJSTIRFRY  - Totally hear you, UI changes can definitely take some getting used to, especially when you've been in a good groove with the old layout. The new left-side menu is part of a broader UX/UI redesign that came from usability studies and feedback to help improve navigation over time.

That said, change is always a little uncomfortable at first! I encourage you to give it some time, it might grow on you as you continue working within the new layout. And of course, your feedback matters, so don’t hesitate to share more about what you find challenging. That’s how these updates continue to evolve!
