Inquiries - simple way to manage dead leads?

When clients inquire on our venue website, I have “project date” as an option when they fill out the online form. This creates and inquiry for that date, and we are having trouble organizing the inquiries that have not responded. Its a tedious process to go to each inquiry (since they’re organized by “project date” not the date they inquired). Has anyone found this to be an issue or found a work around? I am wondering if it might make sense to remove project date from the form all together.
