I have been looking at this page: https://help.honeybook.com/en/articles/3087845-image-sizing-guidelines to try and figure out what the current sizing guidelines are for a Smart File Header. This article contains the guide for a Smart File Thumbnail, but I need the Header guidelines. Does anyone know where I can find this? Is there no specific guideline anymore because the files can be customized? If so, I would still love to hear from others on a “best practice” or what size everyone else is using.

I would LOVE something like this: https://sproutsocial.com/insights/social-media-image-sizes-guide/ but for Honeybook.

@EP1  - You're absolutely right—image sizing for Smart File headers in HoneyBook can be a bit unclear, and it's a common question within the community.

According to HoneyBook's Image Sizing Guidelines, the recommended size for a project workspace header image is 750px by 300px. This same size is suggested for the default header image in your company brand settings, which also serves as the default for Smart File headers.help.honeybook.com+2help.honeybook.com+2help.honeybook.com+2

However, it's important to note that Smart Files offer a high degree of customization. You can add image blocks, set background images for entire pages or specific blocks, and adjust layouts to suit your design preferences. This flexibility means there's no strict requirement for header image dimensions within Smart Files.help.honeybook.com

Best Practices:

  • Use Background Images: As you've mentioned, utilizing background images rather than designed graphics can help prevent issues with elements being cut off or misaligned.

  • Full-Width Images: When adding an image block as a header, set the content width to 100% and adjust padding as needed to ensure the image spans the full width of the file.help.honeybook.com

  • Test Across Devices: Given the responsive nature of Smart Files, it's a good idea to preview your files on different devices to ensure images display as intended.

I know it isn’t a perfect answer but I hope it helps!

Got it! So there is no standard. I would still love to hear from others if they have a “works most of the time size” for Smart File Headers. I will also experiment and post here with my findings and I hope this helps others. It can be very time consuming to look for the right size images.
