First - I am still trying to figure out projects vs. clients.

I have started using HB simply for an event (one date), though I can use it down the road for what it seems to be intended for - a CRM.

Shouldn’t I have a PROJECT as an event (again, one date - multiple vendors) or should I call this something different.

Many thanks,Donna

If you have multiple vendors, you could set it up 2 ways.

1. One project with all the vendors added as separate clients on that project and everyone communicates in the same project.

2. A separate project for each client, where only you and that client can see communication.

Hi @Donna Mazalin ! I always say Honeybook isn’t necessarily a CRM - it does manage client interactions, but typically when people say CRM, they mean a tool that can tag clients, send marketing emails, and track purchases and interactions on a larger scale.

The term Honeybook uses for their tool is a ClientFlow system, which is perfect! It manages interactions with Leads, manages the booking process for clients, and can help you manage projects in and of itself, up through Project completion.

I would need more information to be able to answer your question thoroughly and accurately (for example, are your clients interacting at all inside Honeybook? For example, are they paying invoices or scheduling with you? What type of event business do you have?), but here are some thoughts:

  • You can have multiple projects attached to each client. ie, if one client books 2 events, you could have 1 project for each event.
  • If you have multiple vendors collaborating on a project, I would recommend having a main Project for the client communications and interactions, and adding a “related space” with the type Vendor Space for all vendors to communicate.

Hope this helps!
