I am experiencing a problem with Scheduling in Honeybook. When I arrange an appointment with a client for, say, 10:00am ….. then I enter the appointment in the Calendar for 10:00am ….. and my timezone is set correctly to CST ….. the client gets notified that the appointment is at 9:00am.

Is this a know bug? How can I fix it?

Hi @Kevin Murphy,

That’s very strange! How do these appointments show up on your calendar, do they look on time?

If this problem persists, I’d recommend contacting our technical support by clicking the “?” in the bottom right corner of the HoneyBook desktop app. They will be able to dig deeper and see if it’s a bug.

I hope you get this issue resolved soon!

Hi Masha,

I think it may be associated with CST versus CDT/CST.

Apparently Texas is on CST (Central Standard Time) until the second Sunday in March, at which time it becomes CDT (Central Dailight Time), then we go back to CST in November.

I’m guessing there must be places in the US where it stays CST all year round, and other places where daylight savings time is used, so the time shifts an hour.

Anyway, Honeybook lets you set CST in the calendar, but there is also an option called CDT/CST.

I had my calendar set to CST, but I have now changed it to CDT/CST, but I havn’t had a chance to test it out yet.

Previously in PROJECT DETAILS, if I specified, say, 9:00am …. in the calendar it appears as 8:00am.

It is almost as if my laptop time is being translated into the timezone of the calendar.

Perhaps this is a “feature” whereby I could live in Texas and schedule, say, Zoom call appointments in California, so I set my clients calendar to the California time, while my laptop calendar is still on Texas time?.

So the problem my be fixed now, but I will let you know if it persists.

Regards

Kevin

We’re also experiencing a version of this issue.

It appears to be an over-engineered automation - perhaps meant to be helpful to the Admin but ends up being very confusing when confirming times with Clients. Everyone knows how to do the Timezone math themselves, automating this feature just causes unneeded confusion.

Hey @Kevin Murphy Out of curiosity, when this happens, is your client in the same timezone as you are?

Hey @Lemont Hall,

I definitely feel you on this. I know that the timezones can get weird when it comes to traveling and using the HoneyBook scheduler. I found that this a feature request, and HoneyBook relies on this tab when making updates so they know their users really want them.
