Question

Why can't I use my saved invoice template for time tracker invoices?

I wish I could customize the invoices I send to clients from my time tracker hours.  When I view the logged hours from a client's time tracker and create an invoice from it, I continually have to add my company's business information and logo at the top of the invoice, fix the information so that it shows my address, I have to take off the blank photos from being shown, take off the purchase order from being shown, I have to fix the payment due date for 2 weeks after the invoice is sent, etc. I'd be nice to edit and save this invoice the way I like it so that I don't have to do all this everytime.  I have a saved invoice template that I like, but it doesn't roll over to the time tracker and I don't know why.  Please let me know if there's something I'm missing or doing wrong. Thanks

@Joshua Hardin -  Right now, invoices generated directly from the time tracker don’t pull in your saved invoice template settings by default (including branding, layout preferences, or due date rules). You’re definitely not doing anything wrong, it’s just a current limitation of how the feature is set up.

What you can do as a workaround:
Instead of creating the invoice directly from the time tracker tab, try starting with your saved invoice template (with all your branding and preferences already applied), and then manually add the time entries from your tracker. It’s not fully automated yet, but it does save time from reformatting everything from scratch.

If you'd love to see time tracker invoices use your saved template and settings, I highly recommend submitting a feature request in the Ideas section of the HoneyBook Community. The product team watches those closely and it helps them prioritize improvements that matter most to users like you.
