Work Around for Project Owner / Automatic Email Woes

Hello,

Does anyone have a creative work around for the limitation that automatic emails are always sent from the project owner?

We have two team members--one that does all the finance/billing side of things, and me, who does the client onboarding and client care communications.  We both have reasons to send out automatic emails and do not want them to come from the wrong person.

Hoping for some ideas to get around this issue!  Thank you!

@Jessica Petrone - Right now, automated emails can only be sent from the project owner’s email, which can be tricky when you’re dividing responsibilities like billing and client care between team members. Unfortunately, HoneyBook doesn’t currently support assigning specific automation steps to different team members.

I would suggest using Email Templates with Personal Sign-Offs.

Even though the email technically comes from the project owner, you can customize each automated email template to include the name and title of the team member it’s meant to represent. For example:

Best,
Ashley – Client Care Team

I know it's not ideal, but hopefully these help for now! I’d also recommend submitting or upvoting a feature request in the Ideas section of the Community — assigning automation steps to different team members would be such a game-changer for collaborative teams. 🤞 (I know that some changes to email are coming soon but I am not sure if this is one of the features.)

I have the same concern. I still have to add my team member to a new project lead prior to her taking over the onboarding automative and questions.  Kinda inefficient in lead capture.
