What is everyone using since HB doesn’t have the ability to 2-way text?

What has been the easiest, most simple integration that doesn’t take 2-3 apps to get there?

The main reason I love both sms is to have redundancy for the emails so that couples will get the same type of info in text and email. This helps with responses from leads. I also see them much more likely to respond back via sms and then I can individually and personally connect and text with them too

The most direct way this shows up for me is with how I work with couples for an engagement session giveaway.

they enter the giveaway they get an automatic text and email (text from GHL email from Honeybook with a zap to trigger the sms)

I review their entry and move their project in honeybook to either “bad fit” or “finalist” I have a honeybook automation to send an email when they are moved to whichever stage and a zap to trigger an automation in GHL to start a corresponding sms workflow there.

once in the “finalist” stage they are invited to a video call with me. When they book the video call I have a zap to tell GHL to stop the sms workflow that is running for that lead

after the call the couple is moved to either “winner” or “runner up” with workflows in honeybook for each and zaps and GHL sms workflows that correspond with each as well

This process continues throughout their client journey from automations during the engagement session planning process to when they are booked for their wedding and the planning period for that.

Many of these are written with a personal voice so they give the appearance of just being texts from me. The ability to text back directly in sms I think also fosters that personal connection as well.

Hey @Doree Haight, HB is actually running an SMS beta test so two-way SMS is coming soon. If you want to share the use cases for when and how you would use SMS I’d be happy to share it.

Hi @Tonisha J Stalnaker

Ashley from Honeybook actually reached out with information on the SMS so we are going to look into that.

Thank you!

@Tonisha J Stalnaker

could I share feedback on sms and how I would like to be able to use it?

I have used GHL which has sms and you are able to use it in automations so I have a lot of thoughts on how I’d like to be able to use it as it’s what’s keeping me using both crms at the same time
