Pre-Select Services

Please add the ability to pre-select services.

I have created a proposal for a client with core service that is non-negotiable and then some optional add-ons.

However if they choose to not add on item they sometimes don’t realise that they need to “select the the core service so the invoice is showing as $0. Most of my proposal are this way and without this feature I can’t utilize the workflow well.

Hey @INsight! This is possible!

You’ll want to create one service block for your required services and mark it as “View Only” and turn the toggle for “services in invoice” on. That way it will always show in their invoice and be a selected service.

Then add a separate block and have that block set to “select multiple” or “Select one” so your client can choose their other package (s).

Hope this helps!

I really need this feature as well! Usually my clients and I talk about what option is best for them, but I want to give them all the options. I need to be able to pre-select what we talked about, but they can choose a different option if they prefer.

If anyone knows a different platform that can do that, I’m open to switching.

@DanaD - Did the suggestion Monica shared above work for your setup at all?

It sounds like your use case may be slightly different since you want to pre-select the service you've already discussed with the client, while still allowing them to deselect it and choose a different option if they'd like.

The View Only option works really well when a service is required and needs to automatically carry over to the invoice, but if you're wanting that preselected service to remain editable by the client, I can see where that may not accomplish exactly what you're looking for.

If that's the case, I'd definitely put in a feature request (idea) to clarify that distinction here because it helps identify the specific functionality you're needing rather than duplicating a feature that's already available.
