Until yesterday, I was able to schedule meetings directly from within a project using my saved meeting templates. Those meetings included all project participants and automatically sent invitations, reminders, and meeting details.
Without any notice, I discovered this functionality has been removed. I spent hours troubleshooting what I believed was a bug before support informed me this was an intentional change as part of HoneyBook's move to a 1:1 meeting structure.
This has had a significant impact on my business.
I'm a Daily Money Manager/Financial Organizer, and many of my client engagements involve multiple participants—older adults, spouses, adult children, trustees, financial advisors, attorneys, and care managers. I coordinate meetings on behalf of my clients. Asking an 85-year-old client or their family to book meetings through a scheduling link is simply not a reasonable workflow.
The current workaround also creates unnecessary administrative work because:
- Meeting templates can no longer be used when scheduling within a project.
- Manually created meetings only invite the primary contact, not all project participants.
- I now have to manually recreate meeting details and reminders or ask my clients to schedule meetings themselves.
I don't understand why this functionality was removed. It worked well and supported businesses that coordinate meetings for families and multiple stakeholders.
Please restore support for multi-participant meetings within projects, including:
- Scheduling meetings from within a project using saved meeting templates.
- Sending invitations and automated reminders to all project participants.
- Supporting businesses that schedule meetings on behalf of their clients, not just businesses that rely on client self-scheduling.
I would also encourage HoneyBook to communicate major workflow changes like this in advance. Removing an existing capability without notice led me to spend several hours troubleshooting what I thought was a software issue.
I hope the product team will reconsider this change. I can't imagine I'm the only HoneyBook user who manages family or team-based client engagements and depends on multi-participant meetings.
