Service Tab Update -Add items to proposal no longer available

I noticed that we are no longer able to add individual items to a proposal, only services now?

We cater charcuterie boards, so we have lots of add-ons/sizes. We often will have a client who wants to add on a smaller board with their order, and I’m not able to add any of our saved items anymore. We certainly have pre-built templates that we can use, but adding individual elements to these templates essentially reintroduces the problem.

Customer support suggested I add each of the items we sell as a service; however, I cannot imagine this is in any way the best way to use this feature or practical for anyone using HB and sells individually items, not services.

I feel as though this has added lots of dirty data, and created services that are not actual service offerings.

What are your thoughts here?

Oh no!! Came here hoping this was a glitch this week with Honeybook!

We are a home organizing company. We have 30-50 core products that we use on site with clients that we had saved, each with a unique code, for easy invoicing at the end of the project.

As of this past week, they were not working. I spent time this weekend manually invoicing last week’s projects to make sure that we could get paid. I assumed the feature would be back…

I’m afraid this means all of our previous work is lost? Hoping I’m wrong!

Between this and the trouble scheduling client sessions with the whole team or my inability to schedule clients with my other team members, feeling very frustrated with Honeybook this week!

I have a friend in the bridal hair industry and she’s having the same issue!!

Does the Services tab need to be set up with all the pricing etc in order for our templates to work?!

There should be a button at the top of the new Services tab screen that should allow you to add any items you’ve sent on a proposal/invoice before. I believe it says something like “add” recent services.

If you don’t see that, definitely reach out to support to let them know that option is not showing up for you. You shouldn’t have to add everything in manually.

From what I’ve seen, many older saved items and package elements were migrated into the newer Services Hub structure automatically. HoneyBook is moving toward a more centralized reusable pricing library where “services” function more broadly as reusable offerings/items that can be inserted across Smart Files, lead forms, invoices, etc.

I can definitely understand how that starts to feel messy for businesses with lots of smaller add-ons or item-based pricing though.

One thing that may help is checking whether your previous items already exist in the Services Hub and then organizing them with clearer naming conventions or categories. Some users are also creating templates for common combinations to reduce repetitive setup.

For truly custom or one-off additions, manual invoice line items may still be the cleaner route depending on the workflow.

I think this is also part of the adjustment period that comes with major feature rollouts. As the Services Hub continues to evolve, I’m sure HoneyBook will keep gathering feedback and refining the experience to support a wider variety of workflows and business types. 💛

I noticed this as well. I have a huge list of services that are suddenly gone. I am also now unable to use any negative amounts in a service item, which removes my ability to add discounts as line items. Very unhappy.

Hello @Leon Vigil

Thanks for taking the time to share this! I appreciate you bringing this up. I can absolutely see why this would be frustrating, especially given how your business operates.

I understand your concern about it creating a lot of clutter and data that doesn't accurately represent your actual service offerings.

I’m currently looking into this and gathering more information from our team.

I'll follow up with you via email as soon as I have an update.
