Unstreamlining Our Workflow

A lot of new features are doing the opposite of streamlining my workflow, and I have heard from other users saying the same. Very small things in the grand scheme but tedious and sort of annoying. 2 main examples are the signature feature and the start email/text button. I’m confused why it is a three click action to add my signature. If I’m clicking on it, I want to add it. If I don’t want a signature, I wouldn't click on it. I’m not clicking on something to remove a signature that isn’t there in the first place. As for the button to start an email, what was once quick and easy start an email by clicking into a box now also utilizes an unnecessary drop down menu. I would rather there be a button in the text box section of starting an email that allows you to switch it to an SMS. I don’t utilize the SMS feature nearly as often, if ever, as I do just sending emails.

Completely agree.  I can’t just reply to an email anymore; I have to click send a message; then click send email, then click “reply to previous email” when I am just trying to reply to that previous email.

I get that Honeybook is trying to promote SMS, but combined with removing the Chrome plugin, it’s making emailing -- a huge function in any CRM-- much more difficult.

@Amanda Coll - I can definitely understand the feedback here. Sometimes an extra click or two sounds insignificant on its own, but when it's part of an action you're completing dozens of times throughout the week, those little workflow changes can really add up.

I think you've also identified two pretty specific pieces of feedback here: how signatures are added and how a new email versus SMS conversation is started. Since those are separate functions, I would actually recommend searching the Ideas section for each one individually to see if there are existing requests you can upvote and add your experience to. If not, I would submit them as two separate Ideas so other members can easily vote for the functionality that affects their workflow.

I especially think your point about email versus SMS usage is helpful context. Different businesses are going to use those communication methods differently, so having a streamlined way to access the one you use most frequently, without adding extra steps, is valuable feedback for the team.
