Hey everyone,
If you're in an area with multiple sales tax jurisdictions (state + county + city, etc.), you've probably noticed that HoneyBook's built-in tax reporting doesn't break things out in a way that's actually useful when it's time to remit.
I ran into this myself and got tired of manually cross-referencing invoices with payment records in a spreadsheet every quarter, so I built a little browser-based tool that does it for me.
You feed it your invoice PDFs and your All Payments CSV (Finance → Tax Hub → All Payments Completed) and it matches everything up, splits the tax out by jurisdiction and rate, flags anything that doesn't line up, and lets you export the whole thing to Excel or PDF.
Everything runs locally in your browser — nothing gets uploaded anywhere.
I put it up here if anyone wants to check it out: HoneyBook Sales Tax Reconciliation Tool
One heads-up if you try it: when you export invoices from HoneyBook, use Print (Ctrl+P / Cmd+P) → Save as PDF from the print dialog, not HoneyBook's own Save as PDF button. Their version saves it as an image and the text can't be read.
Happy to answer any questions if anyone runs into the same tax reporting headaches I did.
