How can I change my company currency from CAD to USD?

I’m based in Canada but would like to set up my company currency in USD for ease when working with international clients. How can I change my company currency? When I try to edit the company settings, it says to “Contact Us”.

Hey Nita, I’m Justin, and I work on the help center here. Changing your company’s currency is something you’ll need to reach out to our Support team for (click on the purple “ ? “ on any HoneyBook page). They’ll be able to help you with finding out if the conversion is possible (there’s some requirements they can walk through with you), and if those are all met, can get your account’s currency converted!

I just posted a similar question a couple days ago and was redirected here.

 

How would this work if I did submit a request? Would I always have to use USD moving forward? Or would I be able to go back and forth for when I do have a client that actually needs CAD?

Hey ​@J007! That’s correct. At this time, you can’t switched between currencies on an invoice to invoice basis. You’ll still charge your Canadian clients in USD. They’ll still be able to pay like normal - they’ll pay the USD invoice using their  Canadian card no problem and it will reach your account in USD.
