I can’t figure out how to do this, would welcome any help please! A coaching client would like to have invoices sent to their company’s finance department (the company is paying). I can’t figure out how to do this.  My thinking is to add the finance department as a contact on the project, but only give them permission to receive the invoices monthly. I’d love if they could have zero access to everything else (client files, emails, scheduling) to protect client confidentiality. But none of the project roles seem to have this type of restricted access.

If you don’t want to read the post but want to help.  Answer the questions in bold. What are you doing to protect yourself from Chargebacks on your account?   Honeybook is an online CRM that virtually allows us to access our clients near & far without actually meeting them & confirming they are who they say they are.   And let’s face it, the payment processing system doesn’t seem to have a check & balance within it self to stop the person from processing a card that doesn’t necessarily have their name on it as is the same with many e-commerce sites.   I can use anyone’s card on any website to payment for anything.  As a venue owner & wedding planner, I electronically use my Honeybook to send contracts and/or Invoices.   I attempt to obtain as much personal information as I can & guide my clients to using their accounts to pay their stand alone invoices & contracts with invoices in them but ultimately, unless I am processing their

I feel like this is obvious BUT I can’t seem to figure it out. I would love to offer my clients the option to choose their payment play if they want, however, I need the full balance to be paid before their session… so why does it allow them to choose 12 months when their session is happening in 3 months? 

I need help. I am connected to my quickbooks. I have quickbooks self employed. In Honeybooks it shows payments synced to QB. In QB no payments are showing. Am I doing something wrong? Or is this because I am currently using QB self-employed?

i’m dealing with a little bit of a frustrating/annoying situation. this might be long, but bear with me so i can give full context. i had a senior book two sessions with me this year, one on june 19th for regular portraits and a second one on august 2nd for sports and activities in their hometown. i always set up phone calls for a week before the senior’s session to go over details, outfits, locations, confirm times and weather, and all that good stuff. i had reached out to the senior about getting their call set up, no response. not a big deal! i know lots of teens work or have sports camps during the summer, so i reached out to the mom and got a call set up. now the day of the call, was the same day their final payment for that first session was due (2 days before the session [i already changed it to a week before senior sessions in my contract after this incident]). she had automatic payments set up, but her payment declined. i let her know that the payment didn’t g

I need to change the owner of our Honeybook Account and bank details information.  We recently sold our business but failed to change the Honeybook Ownership and Banking Account information prior to deleting our gmail addresses associated with the account.  Can you please advise how we can change the owner of the account to the new owner’s name, email and add banking info.  Thanks for your help.  ~Karen

Hey y’all! Has anyone switched from quickbooks to using only honeybook for tracking expenses? Was it an easy change or are there significant differences? I don’t want to keep paying for quickbooks if I don’t need to. 🙃

Started HB about 6 months ago.  Went through the quick set-up and integrated with QB.Now that the systems have been in use for a while, I want to modify the account mapping from HB to QB.How do I do this without disconnecting and re-connecting the two softwares?Thanks!

My client has recurring payment scheduled on auto pay on the 1st of each month. Today I haven’t received the payment and I am wondering if the client can remove the card without notifying me of potentially the card to be expired?Has this happened to anyone? TIA

Is there a way to see if an auto pay declined? If it did, does HB retry after a few days?   

Hello everyone, I am a new user to Honeybook. I had connected my bussiness bank accunt to my profile my client paid their deposit. I then later received a message from HoneyBook saying that I had to correct some things with the information I entered I wanted to ask does anyone knew once I corrected that. Will they send my money over to the account that my client has paid? 

I am desperate for this feature -- or any potential workaround! I work on a month-to-month retainer basis but would like to offer an incentive for clients who pay 3 months in full, and then move to a month to month basis. I require autopay and bill on the same date of each month, depending on when they start working with me.  My clients are wildly busy and I do NOT want to chase them down to sign again or re-up their agreement. This would easily be solved if projects would allow us to have 2 invoices with different payment dates. Has anyone come up with a workaround? 

I feel like my quickbooks integration is kind of a nightmare. How are you syncing quickbooks, square and honeybook if you take payments on site outside of honeybook?

If we integrate stripe into Honeybook, can we create a USD invoice in honeybook? 

I have received payments from a few clients and it has been over a month and my account will not deposit the funds into my bank account. every day the estimated deposit moves up one day. so far I have 4 payments from different clients that have yet to be deposited into my bank account. what is the reason for this can help please. 

Is there a way to auto-populate the service address from Honeybook invoice to Quickbooks (ship to field)? I am having to manually add it for every invoice in order for sales tax to correctly populate. I service multiple cities with different tax rates. Or do people just invoice via quickbooks when they need this feature? Thank you!

So I actually didn’t realize that dash board was a whole HB bank account that will now receive payments. By the time I realized this it had literally been a couple months. I had a considerable amount of payments in there that I need to transfer to my actual business account. I tried to transfer it and it’s not showing up in my biz account. But it also doesn’t say it’s pending or processing on the dash board transfers page. Any tips HB? 

I don’t even know where to begin to get answers on something, so starting here.I have five transactions in Quickbooks that show payment from Stacy Y.  Only one was Stacy’s, the other four are for different clients.On the Honeybook payment page, the entries are correct.On Stacy Y’s project record, the information is correct.But somewhere along the line Quickbooks shows Stacy’s name five times. How does Honeybook communicate information to Quickbooks?

So in the last few months I noticed that my Honeybook transactions are coming over to Quickbooks without a invoice number. I have to adjust each invoice for product and service tracking and this extra step of remember where my invoice numbering currently is and assigning it a number is driving me nuts. Any idea why this changed or how to get Honeybook back to assigning an invoice number when it transfers invoices to QB? Thanks! 

I just wanted to give my accountant, @Geily Romero a huge shoutout. Thanks to her services, this has been the first year I haven’t been scrambling at tax time. And, I’ve been able to run my business with financial clarity. At the beginning of 2023, my DIY bookkeeping has become a nightmare.  While income was skyrocketing last year (hello, multi six-figure!), cashflow turned into an issue and expenses became increasingly complicated. I kept trying to catch up on my ‘simple’ spreadsheets and making sense of what was happening in between the hundreds of transactions each month (close to 3000 expense/deposit transactions in 2023 alone).
